McNair is advancing how we plan and support projects with artificial intelligence and agentic tools - assistants that help research, draft, check, and coordinate work under human direction. That includes:

• AI-assisted design support: options, documentation, and coordination alongside traditional architectural and engineering practice
• Home IT and connected systems: planning and integration for networks, controls, and digital infrastructure in the home
• Project intelligence: document and plan workflows, estimating support, and other McNair Builder operations that benefit from reliable automation

Technology serves the craft. Final decisions stay with the owner and the McNair team.

Coming soon: Cybercab for visitors

In the near future we are expanding into Cybercab and by-the-mile mobility so visiting customers and others can move conveniently around Hilton Head, Bluffton, and Sun City. We have applied for fleet operations when available and authorized by law in South Carolina and the towns of Bluffton and Hilton Head. Rates are not yet established.

David G. McNair, Jr., President, holds an engineering degree from Georgia Institute of Technology and has worked in construction since 1974. McNair Building Construction, Inc. was incorporated in 1983 and is celebrating 44 years of Low Country development - serving Hilton Head Island and the surrounding region as builder and local developer.
